The winner of Audi Award for Design and Innovation 2012.
Audi CarCam is the winner of Audi Award for Design and Innovation 2012. Our team of five consisting of industrial and multimedia designers worked relentlessly for 14 months and it paid off.
The competition was about developing future concepts around Audi A1. Basic idea was to integrate a camera system as a part of the car. The possibilities are unlimited; contacting with a parked car, checking crashes and other incidents from tape, monitoring state of the driver, scanning roads to collect data of the condition of the road network etc.
While Audi reserves the rights on the detailed concept material, all I can say is that it has been great to follow how car industry has been developing to the direction we predicted.
