Handcrafted contemporary work light.
Orsi lamp is a ceramics course at LUAS gone wild. I was pushing myself to create a contemporary work light with some real novelty. With geometrical shapes, true materials and the most simple adjusting mechanism I was able to capture what I was aiming for.
Cover and base are made of ceramics, frame is birchwood and the cooling element is copper. As a light source I selected a LED disc with lenses running at 12V and 2700K.
Orsi has been displayed in Lahti Biennale 2011, OLO.MUOTO 2012 and KASVU Student Design Exhibition 2013 in Takaoka, Japan.
