Merge is a course work done in LUAS. The brief was to design a hanging glass lamp. My addiction to simple and practical solutions drove me to create this simple combination. The shade covers the G27 socket on it's own. Twisted canvas chord gives the lamp that small final touch.
I made the mold out of alder with a lathe. Glass pieces were executed by professionals in a small Finnish glass shop, Lasismi. The long tip merging to
the chord is stretched out of hot glass by hand.
